Terms of Use
MatterAccess provides support for legal departments tasked with management of legal matters, law firms/vendors, vendor invoices with GL Account coding, scanned/electronic documents and user defined reports.

Reports of cost summaries and details are generated from user defined combinations of Matter, Subject, Counsel, Law Firm/Vendor, Company Segment, Division, GL Account, Fiscal Year, Month and Quarter, with include/exclude filters for each topic's filter value.

Using the Electronic Document Index, scanned documents can be linked to unlimited combinations of Segments, Divisions, Subjects, Law Firm/Vendors, Matters and Invoices. The list of related documents are displayed when a topic is selected, such as a vendor's invoices.

The Main Menu consists of
A) [Company Indexes] contains data entry forms for Segments, Divisions, Attorneys and Subjects with EDI Links and Reports.

B) [Law Firms/Vendors] contains data entry forms for Law Firms/Vendors, Notes, and listings of related Accounts, Invoices, EDI Links and Reports.

C) [Matters] contains data entry forms for Matter Details, Legal Holds, Accounts, Notes, and listings of related Invoices, EDI Links and Reports.

D) [Invoices] contains data entry forms for entering invoices by Fiscal Year, Month, and Law Firm/Vendor. Supports automatic initialization of existing GL Account code records for entering hours, fees and expenses by invoice, and supports linking to scanned invoices for inclusion in the EDI Links.

E) [Reports] contains user defined options for grouping and filtering reports as described above. In addition to formatted reports, the results can be displayed as datasheets and/or exported to an Excel Workbook or Access database. Crosstab datasheets are included with user defined grouping fields and total cost columns for either Segment, Division, Attorney, GL Account, Fiscal Year, Fiscal Quarter, Period (Month) or Invoice Number. A standard Matter Report and Legal Holds Report are also included.

F) [EDI] contains the Documents list, Photos list, Details record, Add Document, View Document, EDI Links for the Document, and Reports. Document types can be user defined for items such as Contract, Invoice, Photo, etc. The document can be any electronic file that can be viewed by any third party program previously installed on your computer and registered to view the selected file type, example invoice.pdf.
